Global Motors’ warranties cover the car for an entire year after purchase. This includes labour costs, parts replacement costs, rental vehicles and even mileage reimbursement. So it’s essential to know precisely how much money you’ll spend out of pocket.
You’ll also get a 24/7 technical support service and roadside assistance throughout the warranty period. You’ll receive a loaner for free if there is any problem with your vehicle during the warranty period.
The warranty covers factory defects, including normal wear and tear. But because we ensure our cars last longer, it automatically extends beyond the limit of the manufacturer’s warranty.
Unlike most competitors, our extended warranty allows you to buy additional coverage options such as anti-lock brakes, airbags, power steering, cruise control and remote start. These extra features are included in the price of the extended warranty.
What is the importance of Global Motors’ warranty?
Warranty coverage is essential for any car because it protects consumers against mechanical failure.
It helps them avoid costly repairs or replace parts they may have had to do themselves or pay out-of-pocket.
Global Motors claim:
However, most consumers aren’t aware of the benefits and protections under warranty terms. That’s why we created Global Motors Consumer Education Program (GMCEP) – our goal is to educate customers about how warranties benefit them and provide them with information necessary to protect their vehicle investment better.
The GMCEP program includes three distinct modules:
• Customer education: To help guide consumers through essential questions about warranties and make sure they fully understand the details of their particular vehicle’s warranty
• Vehicle service management tools: These tools enable dealerships to easily find and manage customer data and keep track of repair history
• Online reporting: Provides detailed analysis of consumer trends surrounding the purchase and ownership of vehicles.
How to confirm if my Global Motors warranty is still valid?
The global motors warranty is only valid for 12 months after purchase. So if you bought your car in 2016, your warranty expired in 2017.
It’s easy to check if your warranty code number matches that on your warranty card.
Most manufacturers give an expiration date printed right on the front of your warranty certificate. When you purchased your car, the dealer gave you a copy of your warranty. If necessary, ask them again.
If you bought your car privately, your receipt typically lists the manufacturer, model and year of your vehicle.
Check online with the auto parts store where you bought the car.
What makes an auto warranty special is its location. If there’s none where you bought the car, then you won’t benefit from any of them.
But the key here is the word ‘benefit’. If you’ve been paying for a warranty since day 1, you already know how important it is and how much value it adds to your vehicle.
The fact is that most people assume that if they’ve paid for a warranty, then everything is fine. Or perhaps worse, they’ve heard stories of companies offering great deals when they purchase. Unfortunately, those same companies couldn’t honour their promise once the warranty expired.
You may feel like you’re making too much fuss, but trust me, you’re not. When you receive a guarantee, you deserve to be guaranteed, and you shouldn’t have to worry about whether you’ll get all the benefits you paid for.
One way to check whether your warranty remains active is to call your supplier and ask for a copy of your original receipt. If it says the warranty has expired, you may have to pay more than anticipated.
You may also find that this doesn’t affect your coverage. Your dealer might have misprinted the date, so you could still enjoy the warranty protection even though it seems to expire.
For example, if your dealer gives you a warranty card for your 2011 model year, it may state that your warranty expired on June 30th 2012. But your basic warranty covers you from January 1st 2010 to December 31st 2015. This means that while your warranty is valid until June 30th 2012, you have five years of coverage.
In short, it pays to double-check if you have a genuine warranty.
