Quick Look
What is a Global Warranty?
Global Warranties are insurance policies that cover products sold worldwide within any country. These warranties usually extend for one year after purchase. For example, say you buy an item online for $100, it breaks after six months, and you decide to return the product to the vendor for repair. If the vendor offers a global warranty, he’ll replace the item without charging you anything. This means you won’t have to pay shipping charges back to Australia.
Most cases, these warranties cost more because they cover the whole world. But they are worth it for those who travel frequently and often find themselves returning items to vendors across multiple countries.
Global Warranties are very common in Europe but rare here.
Here is another way to look at it; let’s say you go to a store and buy a pair of shoes for $200. The next day your friend tells you she bought them for $50. Would you accept her price? Of course not; you’d demand she give you the difference. So why would anyone expect someone selling globally to do better than that? We shouldn’t expect our vendors to do better than us, either.
A product warranty guarantees the manufacturer gives you money back if your purchase doesn’t live up to its promises. That way, you’ll be protected if anything goes wrong with your purchase. If you buy a computer, for example, chances are you’d rather receive a refund than have to replace the machine — which could cost hundreds or thousands of dollars.
This means having a global warranty isn’t just convenient; it’s also more affordable. There are companies out there that provide warranties worldwide. If someone buys your product in another country, they’ll be covered under the same terms as customers in your own country.
The warranty protection covers you against manufacturing defects, such as damaged parts or faulty components. But it doesn’t cover damage caused by accidents (such as dropping your laptop), misuse, abuse, normal wear-and-tear, or poor storage conditions.
Most manufacturers offer a standard limited warranty, along with additional coverage options. These include extended warranties, travel insurance; product upgrades; accidental damages; replacement parts; repairs performed by an authorised service centre; shipping expenses; and even a variety of other options.
To know better:
When we say global warranty, there is an agreement between the manufacturer and the customer for any defect issue within the product warranty period that the product may cause harm.
The primary purpose is to ensure that consumers are protected against such defects that might occur during the product’s life span.
The consumer can claim compensation (if applicable) from the company providing products, covering the repair of defective goods, replacement parts or even reimbursement of money spent on repairs or replacement costs.
The company provides a full refund on the purchase price when the product cannot be repaired or replaced.
This warranty covers the following situations:
* If a consumer suffers from a defect or damage caused due to manufacturing error.
* If a problem occurs after purchase & the consumer doesn’t receive any service support or assistance from the seller.
* In case of malfunctioning, breakdown etc., of the product.
* In case a consumer receives a faulty product from the supplier.
Company Culture
Here is how the company portrays their culture:
Every team member brings their own set of skills and abilities. Our global network allows us to provide service to our customers anywhere. We also operate in an environment where we focus on customer service and have developed a reputation for excellence based on these core values.
There is freedom and flexibility in how we go about achieving success. There are no boundaries – we’ve achieved much more than most companies simply because we are open-minded about what we do.
Our vision is to create great experiences for our clients and employees while maintaining and improving the quality of life wherever we live. In addition, we value integrity and hard work. We strive to keep our promises and make the right decisions. This means that our employees are dedicated and passionate about what they do.
The best part is we aren’t exclusive; everyone belongs here, regardless of whether you are just starting or have years of experience. That means we’re all learning together, building each other up, helping new hires grow and bringing in fresh ideas.
Mission
The mission of Global Warranty is to provide a service where all parties involved in repairing a device can be covered. By providing this insurance, we ensure that when someone loses or damages their phone, tablet or laptop, it doesn’t cost them an arm and a leg to repair it and also ensures that it will be fixed correctly and with minimal hassle.
We cover devices such as mobile phones, tablets and laptops, and accessories including headphones, speakers, chargers, cases, etc. So whether it’s a screen protector for your iPhone 5 / 6, a battery replacement for your Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus or a new charger for your Apple iPad Air 2, our team are trained to help you navigate the world of electronics repairs.
We aim to make the entire process easy and stress-free for our customers by removing the headaches associated with paying thousands of dollars for a new phone or tablet. We charge you a slight premium over the price you typically pay for similar products elsewhere. Allowing you to buy another piece of technology without any worries.
But more importantly, we protect the customer against poor-quality parts and services. If there is a problem with your purchase, you are guaranteed a refund in full, irrespective of how much time has passed since your original purchase.
To put it into perspective, most companies offering warranty policies require you to return the product within seven days of purchasing it, meaning even if you had a faulty item, you wouldn’t be able to seek compensation unless you returned the faulty goods within seven days of receiving it. This clearly shows a product warranty policy’s essential when purchasing a new electronic device.
Values
A warranty is an assurance a manufacturer offers to protect its customers from potential defects for a specified period. This period may vary depending on the product type. Some warranties also cover parts costs if any defect occurs within that period. There are two main types of warranties: (1) Manufacturer’s warranty and (2) Extended service plan. In addition, there are also extended warranties which provide coverage beyond the manufacturer’s warranty term. An example would be a car insurance policy which provides replacement cost coverage, etc.
A warranty is a piece of paper with information written on it.
But how often do we stop to read what is written on it? We rely on our instincts, which often aren’t correct. So let’s put more emphasis on reading the fine print. This way, we’ll have the documentation to back us up when we find out that we’ve been deceived.
The value of a warranty lies in the fact that it gives confidence to consumers, giving them peace of mind. Without warranties, manufacturers are vulnerable to consumer complaints after purchase and, consequently, lower demand.
Warranties play a vital role in consumer protection because products might fail unexpectedly without them, leaving buyers stranded without recourse. As such, warranties are crucial elements of successful marketing strategies.
In today’s fast-paced world, business owners cannot afford to overlook the benefits of offering warranties. Consumers look for quality and reliability, and warranties promise both.
